At our clinic, we understand that communication challenges don’t disappear as children grow, they simply change. We work closely with teenagers to strengthen the advanced language and literacy skills needed for success at school and beyond.
We support students to develop:
- Higher-level language skills such as making inferences, understanding figurative language, and interpreting tone and intention in social and academic contexts.
- Reading and listening comprehension, helping teens to understand complex texts, follow classroom discussions, and extract key information.
- Written expression and literacy, including planning, structuring, and editing essays, expanding vocabulary, and improving spelling and grammar.
- Auditory processing and memory, to help with following multi-step instructions, retaining information, and organising thoughts.
- Social communication and self-advocacy skills, supporting teenagers to express themselves clearly and confidently with peers, teachers, and in everyday life.
Our sessions are practical, engaging, and tailored to each teenager’s goals. Whether that’s keeping up with schoolwork, building confidence in communication, or preparing for life after school.
